Brighton´s music festival

March 25, 2009

Great Escape, Brighton

Taking place at various venues across the city, this is Britain’s premier new music festival, showcasing the best new bands and a few established indie and electronic acts.

The promoters have been involved with Glastonbury since the early eighties, as well booking WOMAD, Jersey Live! and other events – they trawl the world for the best new bands for this and the other festivals, so you can expect a hotbed of fresh talent.

This year Mercury Music Prize nominees the Young Knives headline and are joined by local electro luminaries Fujiya and Miyagi, hot New Yorkers Vampire Weekend and around 200 more acts.

Gigs take place around the city and one ticket allows entry to all of them so you can cherry pick the bands you want to see.

Dates: Thursday, May 15 – Saturday, May 17. Tickets: £45

If you need any place to have a rest, here you have got some nice hotels with amazing prizes: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/travel/where_to_stay/article4870124.ece

Europe

November 24, 2008

Now i know that Europe is controlled by three institutions. These are the institutiones: the European Parliament, the European Commission and the European Council.

The European Commission embodies and upholds the general interest of the Union and is the driving force in the Union’s institutional system. Its four main roles are to propose legislation to Parliament and the Council, to administer and implement Community policies, to enforce Community law (jointly with the Court of Justice) and to negotiate international agreements, mainly those relating to trade and cooperation.

The European Council, founded in 1949, seeks to develop throughout Europe common and democratic principles based on the European Convention on Human Rights and other reference texts on the protection of individuals.

The European Parliament plays an active role in drafting legislation which has an impact on the daily lives of its citizens: For example, on environmental protection, consumer rights, equal opportunities, transport, and the free movement of workers, capital, services and goods. Parliament also has joint power with the Council over the annual budget of the European Union.

I believe that the year of creativity is a period of time when Europe is going to spend money in new technologies.

According to us there must be some diferent lessons on the schools programs, like more music and sex knowledge ( also practice)
